Burlington's Pandolfo Ready for Potential Cup Appearance
With Patrice Bergeron's status in question for Game 6 of the Stanley Cup Final, local Jay Pandolfo could hit the TD Garden ice tonight.

Jay Pandolfo is ready if he gets the call. But the Burlington resident is also hopeful the phone never rings.
According to multiple media reports, the Boston Bruins forward split time skating with the team’s fourth line during morning skate. In the event that forward Patrice Bergeron’s injury forces him to miss tonight’s critical Game 6 of the Stanley Cup Final, Pandolfo may be called upon to suit up.
Chicago leads the best-of-seven series, 3-2, and could win the Stanley Cup with one more victory. Though Pandolfo is excited for potential appearance, he’s hopeful that his teammate will be the one hitting the ice at TD Garden when puck drops at about 8:20 p.m.

“I'm hopeful Bergeron plays, to be honest with you,” said Pandolfo, according to the Boston Herald. “I know (Bergeron is) going to do everything he can to get in there. Worst case and he can't play, I'm definitely ready. I haven't played the whole playoffs and haven't played in a while, but I've been in this situation before and I'm confident I can do the job.”
If the Bruins are able to win tonight, they would force a deciding Game 7 on Wednesday night in Chicago.
