Burlington Seeking To Fill Town Meeting Member Vacancies

TOWN MEETING VACANCY

Notice is hereby given that there are vacancies:

• Precinct #1 - 2 open seats
• Precinct #4 - 1 open seats
• Precinct #5 - 1 open seats
• Precinct #6 - 2 open seats

Those who wish to be elected to fill such vacancy shall contact the remaining Town Meeting Members of the Precinct for which they seek election, for the purpose of having their names placed in nomination. The vacancies meeting will be at Grand View Farm Hall, September 10th starting at 6 PM. Here at the times for each Precinct -

• 6 PM - Precinct #1
• 6:30 PM - Precinct #4
• 7 PM - Precinct #5
• 7:30 PM - Precinct #6

The process, for filling these seats is as follows:

• As many of the TM members who can attend the meeting, come and nominate candidates who want to be nominated.
• The nominee should attend to be able to speak for themselves about why they want to take the seat and then answer any questions.
• Then we have a secret ballot vote, by the current members of Precinct.
