Burlington Selectmen Approve Liquor License For Frank Pepe
It will be the second greater Boston location for the famed Connecticut pizzeria.

BURLINGTON, MA -- The arrival of Frank Pepe Pizzeria to Burlington is one step closer after Burlington selectmen approved the transfer of a liquor license to the Connecticut company. Frank Pepe's is taking over space in the Burlington Mall which has been empty since Uno Pizzeria & Grille closed in January after nearly three decades in the mall.
The space is being divided in half and the new restaurant will have seating for 98, compared to the 200 seats Uno had. The planning board approved Frank Pepe's use of the space in April.
It will be just the second location in greater Boston for Frank Pepe, which is one of the best-known pizzerias in America. The original Pepe's opened in New Haven 1925 and billboards advertising that location are familiar to anyone who has driven the Boston-to-New York City run. The chain now has 10 locations, most of which are in Connecticut. In 2017, the Daily Mail awarded it its Best Pizza In The Country accolade.
