Burlington Police teamed up with Burlington Mall to teach kids safety!
For the 46th year in a row, the Burlington Police Department’s Traffic Division, will be hosting their Annual ‘Safety Town’ at Burlington Mall for local kindergartners and first graders, with a goal of helping to reduce the risk of child-pedestrian injuries and fatalities.
Safety Town is a child-sized town, complete with buildings, crosswalks, and street signs that will be used to teach pedestrian, traffic, and bus safety, all within a supervised environment. Burlington Police will instruct children on proper conduct for various traffic situations and the correct way to get on and off the school bus.
