Burlington Wins State Award For 2018 Annual Report

The Massachusetts Municipal Association awarded Burlington the bronze medal in the largest size class.

BURLINGTON, MA — Burlington's 2018 Annual Town Report won 3rd place in its category from the Massachusetts Municipal Association. Burlington is in Category 1, for towns with populations over 12,500. This marks the town's second consecutive year on the podium; last year, it also got 3rd. Prior to 2018, the town had never placed, going back to 2000.

According to the MMA, "The MMA’s Annual Town Report Contest recognizes outstanding reports based on criteria that include visual appeal; material arrangement; presentation of statistics and data; summary of the year’s achievements; evidence of local planning for the future; and the report’s practical utility."

The award will be presented Jan. 25, 2020, at the association's annual meeting and trade show.
