Burlington Woman Arrested During Major Heroin Busts

Lawrence Police arrested 22 people allegedly involved in dealing, using heroin.

The Lawrence Police Department initiated “a major anti-drug operation” targeting alleged heroin dealers and their customers in the city on June 19, and netted 22 people from Massachusetts and New Hampshire, ranging in ages from 17 to 59, according to a press statement.

Police reportedly seized assorted bags of heroin and more than $4,000, according to police. The investigation and operation was conducted in conjunction with several other law enforcement agencies from both states, according to Lawrence Police Chief James Fitzpatrick.

“Today we sent a message to drug dealers and those who think they can come to our city to purchase narcotics with impunity that we will not tolerate this dangerous and illegal activity,” Patrick said. “We are out there, and we are watching. We will find you. We will arrest you. Lawrence is not a city that will tolerate the proliferation of poisons in and around our community.”
