Ceramic Frog Stolen, Replaced With Ceramic Duck and More

The latest Burlington Police Department reports from Saturday, July 11, to Monday, July 13.

The following reports are from the Burlington Police Department:

SATURDAY, JULY 11

1:53 p.m.: Report of a woman leaving two young children in her running vehicle while she went shopping, Wayside Road. Witnesses claim the children appeared to be OK as the woman fled the area with them.

4:48 p.m.: Report from a resident that the dog she was looking after was being neglected, Fox Hill Road.

4:55 p.m.: Report from resident of credit card misuse between July 7 and July 13 after his wallet was lost.

8:22 p.m.: Report of a stolen wallet from Kings Bowling Alley, 52 Second Ave. The wallet was later turned in at a nearby Wegman’s but was missing $200.

9 p.m.: Report from homeowner that daughter’s boyfriend refuses to leave, Park Drive.

10:45 p.m.: Investigation of a vehicle hit-and-run accident with no injuries, Arboretum Way.

SUNDAY, JULY 12

12:55 a.m.: Report of vandalism damage to a vehicle parked outside AMC Theaters, 20 South Ave. The hood, driver’s side door and truck appeared to be scratched with what appeared to be a rock.

9:06 a.m.: Report of a ceramic frog stolen overnight from the homeowner’s front lawn, Freeport Drive. A ceramic duck was left in the frog’s place.

10:42 a.m.: Investigation of a vehicle crash with injuries, Route 128 and Middlesex Turnpike.

MONDAY, JULY 13

12:42 p.m.: Report of a violation of a restraining order, Network Drive.

1:31 p.m.: Request for assistance with a drunken party at the apartment complex’s pool, Westgate Drive.

3:01 p.m.: Report of a suspicious man on a motorcycle asking children about where they lived, Bedford Street. The man was the father of one of the kids playing at the park, and he had come to the park to give his son and his friends refreshments.

5:21 p.m.: Investigation of a minor vehicle accident, Burlington Car Wash, 310 Cambridge St.

7:34 p.m.: Report by woman that she left her pocket book unattended at her boyfriend’s house (Douglas Avenue), and now there are items missing.
