DCF Announcement Coming Tuesday Morning After Infant Deaths

Several politicians have called for the resignation of Department of Children and Families Commissioner Olga Roche.

State Health and Human Services Secretary John Polanowicz is expected to make a major announcement this morning regarding the Department of Children and Families after two toddlers died.

Polanowicz will hold a news conference at 9:15 a.m., according to the Boston Herald.

On Saturday, Bailey Irish, a 2-week-old Fitchburg baby, died while under the care of DCF officials.

Authorities are also investigating the April 11 death of Aliana Lavigne, a 4-week-old Grafton child also under the care of DCF.

Several politicians have called for the resignation of DCF Commissioner Olga Roche.
