Dead Woman Found in Burlington Hotel Room Murdered: DA

Burlington police are investigating the death of a woman found Thursday in a hotel near the Burlington Mall as a murder.

Law enforcement officials discussed the case during a televised press conference Thursday evening. According to Middlesex District Attorney Marian Ryan, the victim has not been identified, and it does not appear to be a suicide.

The woman’s body was found early Thursday morning at the Extended Stay America hotel, 40 South Ave., after front desk personnel heard a woman screaming followed by gunshots, a press release from the district attorney’s office stated.

Crime Scene Services are still at the hotel collecting evidence and investigating, the release stated.

The district attorney’s office doesn’t expect any updates on the case later Thursday night.
