Domestic Violence Vigil Planned In Burlington
The vigil will take place next month as part of Domestic Violence Awareness Month.
BURLINGTON, MA - A candlelight vigil next month at the Burlington Town Common will commemorate lives lost due to domestic violence, the town announced last week.
The event is set for Oct. 3 at 5:30 p.m. near the Town Common gazebo.
The Burlington-based Saheli Boston is helping organize the event. Saheli is a nonprofit focused on supporting domestic violence survivors, particularly in South Asian and Arab communities, as described in its online about page.

Next month’s vigil will feature tributes in the color purple in recognition of purple as a symbol of domestic violence awareness.
