SFD provides students with a solid foundation in apparel design and construction, and the skills required for a successful career in fashion. Our technical Certificate program is taught by experts in the field of fashion design. Students may take courses toward the Certificate or on a class-by-class basis to fill professional education interests. For creatives and textile arts enthusiasts, SFD offers workshops in various fiber arts such as weaving, lace making, embroidery, millinery, upcycling, and more. As an SFD student, you will join a diverse community of emerging designers. Our studios are filled with recent high school graduates, students from nearby colleges enriching their education with fashion, and working professionals embarking on a new career path. SFD faculty and students are active partners in our local community, collaborating regularly with organizations and businesses through internships, exhibitions, field trips, and special events. Our reputation for excellence is on display each time our students show their work at fashion shows and exhibits throughout the year. With an SFD Certificate in Fashion Design, our alumni have enjoyed fashion careers with Adidas, Coldwater Creek, J. Jill, New Balance, PUMA, Ralph Lauren, Talbots, Timberland, TJX Companies, and more. Our alumni are designers and costumers for stage and screen, while others have found success launching their own label. Our varied class levels and flexible schedules are designed to meet the needs and profiles of all students. So whatever your level, background, or educational goals, we invite you to schedule a tour to see yourself at The School of Fashion Design. New semesters begin September, January, and June. 128 Plumbing, Heating, Cooling & Electric Stays Independent

128 Plumbing, Heating, Cooling & Electric

128 Announces Local Independent Ownership For Good One question that Ryan Williams, President of 128 Plumbing, Heating, Cooling, and Electric, keeps getting is: “Did you sell?” and the answer is always In recent years, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and other home services have seen significant consolidation. In Greater Boston, 128 is one of the only home service companies that remain local, private, and independently-owned. This led Williams to seek out organizations that aren't just in business to sell, but to thrive long-term. He found the Tugboat Institute®, focusing on value, purpose, and people-driven businesses planning to remain independently-owned for 100+ years through their Certified Evergreen® status. 128 applied with the help of its entire team and received the honor of becoming Certified Evergreen® a year later. Watch 128's announcement here: https://youtu.be/g5rsiZW7B1k?si=KeR42U8H9GXnCJkH Does this impact customers? Customers want reliability and support for years down the road from their home service company, and choosing an independently-owned company can reduce uncertainties. Does this impact tradespeople? Ownership can influence company culture, communication, alignment, and priorities. With a labor shortage, it's important there are industry leaders willing to continually invest in education, which 128 is proud to offer its own school. Choose Local and Independent. 128 is proud to announce its continued local and independent ownership to bring stability and confidence to employees, customers, and communities for generations. Williams states that "128 answers to its customers and employees, not investors", and is not for sale. 128 Plumbing, Heating, Cooling, and Electric was founded in 1992 and is a top home service company in Eastern MA. 128 is known for its 5-star service, base+ membership, Finish Strong Friday®, and its Red Sox partnership. Choose an Austin Prep Education Rooted in Augustinian Values

Austin Preparatory School

Austin Preparatory School, located in Reading, Massachusetts, is an independent Catholic prep school rooted in the Augustinian tradition. Serving students in grades 6 through 12, Austin Prep has cultivated a close-knit learning community since its founding in 1961. Guided by its mission to inspire hearts to unite, minds to inquire, and hands to serve, the school challenges students through a rigorous college preparatory program that includes honors and Advanced Placement courses, personalized instruction, and intentionally small classes. An Austin Prep education is preparation for the journey of life. Beyond academics, the school’s unwritten curriculum – the lived expression of veritas, unitas, and caritas (truth, unity, and love) – forms the heart of its mission. “At Austin Prep, we are on a journey that is life-changing and important,” says Head of School James Hickey, Ph.D. “Our patron, St. Augustine, embarked on a journey for the truth. At our core is an institution on the same journey, committed to exemplary teaching and learning.” Serving grades 6–12 under one roof allows this leading prep school to guide students through every stage of development—academic, social, emotional, physical, and spiritual. Community stands at the center of this experience, nurturing belonging and inspiring students to lead lives of purpose. Austin Prep athletics teams, competing in the New England Preparatory School Athletic Council (NEPSAC), are recognized among the best north of Boston, reflecting the same drive and integrity found in the classroom. Nearly every graduate continues on to a four-year college, prepared not only for success in higher education but for a meaningful life shaped by faith, friendship, and service.
