In 2012, Heather received her Master of Music Degree in String Pedagogy from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. She studied violin/viola pedagogy with Ms. Darcy Drexler and cello pedagogy with Scott Cook, both of whom are teachers at the String Academy of Wisconsin. While in Milwaukee, Heather served as the faculty violin instructor at Oak Creek Center for Performing Arts. She also served in the position of Strings Director at St. Robert School, where she founded a Beginning Strings Program for elementary age students, and coached the middle school string ensemble. As a recipient of both the Chancellor's Award and a Graduate Assistantship at UWM, Heather was a member of the orchestral managerial staff and maintained an active performance schedule with the UWM Symphony and Community Orchestras, Milwaukee's East Side Chamber Players, and the Milwaukee Summer Philharmonic.

Heather's career highlights include: performing Lalo's Symphonie Espagnole as a finalist in the 2010 IWU Concerto/Aria competition; traveling to Italy and Spain in 2005 and 2007, respectively, to work with music teachers from around the world and perform in various chamber settings; and her study abroad experience to Madrid, Spain during the spring of 2008. Heather's parents and younger sister currently reside in central Illinois, and she enjoys vacationing to beautiful Green Lake, Wisconsin during the summer months.
