Irish Retail Giant Coming to Burlington Mall in December

BURLINGTON, MA — A European fashion retailer has announced it will open its second Massachusetts and sixth U.S. location at the Burlington Mall. Primark will be opening its doors on Dec. 7.

“Following our flagship opening at Downtown Crossing in Boston, we are excited to expand our footprint in Massachusetts with our newest location in Burlington” said Jose Luis Martinez de Larramendi, president of Primark U.S. in a statement “This is where we planted our roots when we first made the decision to open in the U.S. and customer feedback has been very positive."

According to a press release, Primark's retail space will span 53,000 square feet, with 43 fitting rooms and 45 registers.

The Irish retailer will be hiring 200 people for permanent retail and merchandising positions, and will also fill 100 seasonal jobs at the store.

Primark has locations in Downtown Crossing, the King of Prussia Mall in Pennsylvania, the Freehold Raceway Mall in New Jersey and Connecticut’s Danbury Fair Mall. The company also announced plans for a location at the South Shore Plaza Mall in Braintree.
