Fire Leaves Burlington Home Uninhabitable

The Burlington Fire Department was able to put out the fire within 10 minutes of responding to the call on Alma Road.

BURLINGTON, MA -- A fire Sunday evening displaced a family of four. Fire crews were able to put out the fire on Alma Road in under 10 minutes. The Burlington Fire Department and the State Fire Marshal's office are continuing to investigate the cause of the fire, but a preliminary investigation suggested faulty wiring caused the fire.

"The call came from the residence and the two who were home were able to self-evacuate," Burlington Fire Chief Steven Yetman told the Burlington Union, which first reported this story. The house sustained significant heat and smoke damage, making it uninhabitable.
