Good Samaritan In Burlington Returns $2,450 In Cash
The Sunrise Senior Living employee, who was not identified, was described as "amazingly kind and trustworthy."

BURLINGTON, MA -- Someone is not out more than $2,400, thanks to the honesty of an employee at an assisted living center in Burlington. On September 15, a family member of a resident at Sunrise Senior Living in Burlington found a small bag in the parking lot of the complex. It was turned into the concierge working the front desk at the center, who opened the bag to find paperwork and $2,450 in cash.
The concierge, who is described as "amazingly kind and trustworthy," turned it into two managers at the facility. Those managers counted the money then locked it up for safekeeping. Eventually, Burlington Police were called, who were able to get the money returned to the daughter of the man who had lost it.

Heather Elliott, the communications director for Sunrise, declined to identify the employee but said she has worked at Sunrise for five years. The employees mother had lived at Sunrise for several years before the woman took her job there.
"The good news is that the police department found the owner and returned their money and property to them," said a spokesman for the Burlington Police Department, which originally reported the random act of kindness in its public police log. "Definitely a good deed by the unnamed Sunrise employee."
