The float was built by Rick Nohelty and Diane Linnehan, and the group’s members decorated it, according to an email from Mary Nohelty, the society’s president. Griggs Farm donated the farm baskets on the back of the trailer, and the pig and duck were donated by society and garden club member Julie Eggleston.

The horses — replicas of the animals that pulled a school barge for kids in the 1800s—were borrowed from the historical museum.
