Customers to the new on Mall Road in Burlington will immediately notice two things. The first is the unique modern, yet comfortable, atmosphere, which is a bit like a colorful version of an Apple store with a working fireplace. The second is the friendly customer service.

Visitors are welcomed upon entry by a staff member, who will also serve as a guide through the ordering process.

"A nice welcome is part of the process and is very important to us," co-owner Doug Calenda said. "What you serve is important, but the service and atmosphere is also important, that is what makes this a fun place where people are treated well. When you come here you know that we want you here."

Having a guide help make your order is probably a good thing. Yeh! Frozen Yogurt offers a wide variety of flavors and even more toppings. Customers are able to try free samples of whichever flavor, which range from sweet, including chocolate and cookies and cream, to less sweet or tart, including pistachio and fruit flavors. Once a yogurt flavor or combination of flavors is made, customers can add toppings. The toppings selection is even wider than the variety of yogurt flavors, including a variety of candies, fresh fruits and unique items.

"The most important thing is that you get exactly what you want," said Chris Sealy, an employee and "Fro-Yo" expert who came down from Canada to help launch the Burlington store. "We always have samples for customers to try because with so many options it can be difficult to choose."

The frozen yogurt at Yeh! is made on site with a special recipe with natural ingredients, Calenda explained. Additionally, almost every flavor is 100 percent fat free. A couple of flavors, particularly the chocolate, is 97 percent fat free Calenda said.

Yeh! also offers freshly-made oatmeal that customers can enhance with yogurt or toppings, such as nuts or fresh fruit, for a healthy snack or breakfast, Calenda said. Currently the store is open from 11 a.m. to 11:30 p.m., but Calenda said they may begin opening earlier if customers express an interest in coming in for breakfast.

"Our food is all natural and I think that is why people like it," Calenda said. "It makes you feel good and healthy afterwards."

Customers can also order crepes, either the well-known French variety with a sweet sauce topping or the Japanese style, which comes in a cone shape perfect for filling with yogurt. The store also sells their signature gourmet cookies.  According to Calenda, employees will mix sweets selected by the patron into the cookie dough and then bake and serve the hot cookie in about five to ten minutes.

Yeh! opened this week, the first location of the Canadian-based company in the United States. Calenda said that in the past few days the store has seen many new customers and he was happy to report that the shop has been welcomed into the community.

"We love Burlington and people have been happy to come here," he said. "Everyone who has come in has loved our yogurt and have been happy to see us."

Finally, Calenda said he sees promise in the location, which he feels offers customers a unique chance for a full culinary experience. Yeh! Frozen Yogurt is located between and , two lunch locations that also offer healthy meals made from natural ingredients. There is also a in the same plaza. 

"Families can come to this plaza, which is now a real destination, and get everything," he said. "They can get a nice burger at b.good or something at Chipotle, then come here for some frozen yogurt and then grab a coffee at Starbucks. It's perfect."

The frozen yogurt and Oatmeal at Yeh! is 49-cents per ounce to allow customers the chance to get as much or little as they would like without worrying about standard sizes.

The store is in the plaza next to Kohl's on Mall Road. Anyone looking to find it with a GPS can type in 84 Mall Road.
