For Kings Burlington, It's On Like Donkey Kong
Street Fighter or Mortal Combat? Big Buck Hunter or Mario Kart? Kings Burlington wants you to help old-school games for its barkade.

BURLINGTON, MA -- Kids today with their with their Fortnite and their Grand Theft Auto V don't know the pure, 32-bit pleasure of The Legend of Zelda. But King's Burlington hopes to change that. The bar and restaurant is finalizing plans for a retro "barkade," complete with games selected by polling its customers.
"Kings Burlington will be introducing a full 'BarKade' next month with the retro, classic arcade games that you remember and love," the restaurant said on its Website. "As we hope to have you as our regular guest in the new BarKade, we would love your help in deciding which games you want to see and play the most!"
The poll asks respondents to rate dozens of classic arcade games on a five-point scale ranging from "must have" to "don't bother." Games are broken into categories, such as "Racers" and "Shooters."

Kings is trying to monetize the resurgent interest in old-school video games. Since 2004, independent bar-cades have been popping up, with the trend starting -- predictably -- in Brooklyn. Closer to home, independently-owned Bit Bar in Salem offers older video games and pinball machines for customers.
