Longtime Burlington Mall Restaurant Closing This Weekend
The pizzeria that had been a Burlington Mall tenant since the 1980s will serve its last pizza on Sunday.

BURLINGTON, MA -- Uno Pizzeria & Grill will close its location at the Burlington Mall at the end of business hours Sunday. The chain nown for its deep-dish, Chicago-style pizzas has been scaling back on the number of locations it operates in recent years. Staff will be offered positions at the chain's location in the Woburn Mall.
According to Boston Restaurant Talk, which first reported this story, said the restaurant is planning a going away party on Friday in the bar. While no reason for the closure was given, Uno has closed locations in Harvard Square and Waltham in recent years.
The Burlington Mall location was the third restaurant Uno opened in New England when it began is national expansion more than 30 years ago. Following the closing of the Burlington Mall location, the company will still have three restaurants in Boston, as well as restaurants in Braintree, Dedham, Framingham, Revere, Swampscott, and Woburn.
