Lowell Man Faces Fraud Charges After Trip To Burlington Bank
Read about that and the other arrests recorded in the Burlington Police log between August 16 and 22.

BURLINGTON, MA -- Burlington Police and officers from the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement Agency were called to the TD Bank Branch on Cambridge Street at 10:29 am on Tuesday, August 21 when an employee believed someone was trying to use a fraudulent bank card. ICE was called to help identify the suspect during the investigation. Police issued a summons to Owen Eso Ikponmwosa, 33, of Lowell, charging him with forgery of a document, uttering a false document, attempt to commit a crime and identity fraud.
Listed below are the other arrests recorded by the Burlington police Department between August 16 and 22. All people named are presumed innocent:
- On Thursday, August 16, Burlington Police arrested John M. Costello, 47, of 39 Wilmington Road in Burlington, on an outstanding warrant.
- During a motor vehicle stop on Gloria Circle at 8:17 pm on August 16, police arrested Michael J. Toscano, 33, of Watertown. Toscano was charged with OUI (drugs) and possession of a class A drug.
- During a motor vehilce stop on Winn Street at 1:17 am on Saturday, August 18, police arrested Casey Finnerty, 32, of 30 Manhattan Drive in Burlington, on an outstanding warrant.
- Police arrested two people for shoplifting at Wegman's at 5:14 pm on August 18. Marco A. Alvarenga, 38, of Marlborough, and Luis Diogo Bueno, 33, of Marlborough, were charged with shoplifting. Alvarenga was also charged with unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle.
- At 3:21 pm on Sunday, August 19, police responded to a call of a woman at a bus stop on Mall Road who was sitting with her head drooped. Police arrested Carlos Armando Flores, 24, of Lynn and charged him with possession of a class B drug and possession of a class E drug.
- At 4:38 pm on Tuesday, August 21, Burlington Police responded to a report of shoplifting at the Abercrombie & Fitch store at the Burlington Mall. Romel Antoine Pryor, 33, of Troy, NY, was arrested and charged with shoplifting, receiving of stolen property valued at less than $1,2000, resisting arrest, disorderly conduct and three counts of unlawful possession of a theft detection shielding device.
