Man Walking On 95 Struck Twice, Killed In Burlington

A Malden driver and an NH driver both struck the man, who was walking in the travel lanes on 95, police said.

BURLINGTON, MA — A pedestrian walking on I-95 was struck by two cars and killed early Sunday morning, State Police said. The pedestrian was struck south of Exit 34 in Burlington.

State Troopers from the Danvers Barracks responded to several calls about a man in the middle of the interstate. Police then received a call from the operator of a Volvo who had he had struck a man on the road.

A preliminary investigation revealed a 2004 Volvo S80 sedan driving by a 39-year-old Malden man struck a man who was in the second travel lane. The man was then struck again by a 2010 Toyota Matrix station wagon, operated by a 22-year-old Brookline, NH, man. Both operators remained on scene and are cooperating with police.

The victim's identity has yet to be determined.
