Friday, April 10

5:30 p.m. - Caller from Metropolitan Credit Union, 120 Cambridge St. states transformer is sparking and smoking. Fire Department notified. No fire visible, Burlington Fire Department cleared. Standing by for power company.

7:49 a.m. - Caller reports an abandoned yellow bag placed down by a mailbox in the area of 201 Middlesex Turnpike at 99 Terrace Hall Ave. Checks OK, it was a bag of dirt.

12:04 p.m. - Party reports someone filed a tax return under her social security number.

2:46 p.m. - Caller reports concern for a dog that has been left alone and tied up for over a half hour outside Burlington House of Pizza, 114 Cambridge St. Officers found the animal appears in good health. Owner was having work done on vehicle and has since left the area with the dog

5:08 p.m. -Motor vehicle stop with arrest, Border Cafe, 128 Middlesex Turnpike. One male in custody. Christopher Vicente, 41 of Peabody arrested on a warrant and operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license.

6:35 p.m. - Macy’s Loss Prevention reports detaining a male shoplifter. Officer was dispatched to the store. Philip Dasilva, 24 of Peabody was charged with shoplifting by concealing merchandise.

7:29 p.m. - Caller from Chili’s Bar & Grill, 108 Middlesex Turnpike, reports a male brandished a firearm during a dispute.
