Mechanica Named Branding Agency For Nuance’s Document Imaging Division

Mechanica today announced that Burlington, Mass.-based Nuance Communication’s Document Imaging Division, named Mechanica its brand development firm as its branding agency of record, according to Ted Nelson, chief executive officer of the agency.

The account, previously handled by local firms on a project basis, was assigned based on the agency’s expertise with disruptive technology companies -- including Akamai, PTC and Kronos -- and billings were not disclosed.

Mechanica will be creating positioning and integrated creative and media plan strategies for the launch of a new product from the Document Imaging Division.

New work is expected this month.
