Mother Calls Police, Says 15-Year-Old Son Took Her Car in Joyride with Friends

Tue., May 13

  • 12:53 a.m. A tree fell in the road on Cambridge Street. Crews removed it.
  • 8:51 a.m. The windows of several vehicles were found to be smashed in on Wall Street.
  • 9:28 a.m. Jimmie Walker, of Burlington, was charged with violating a protective order.
  • 1:26 p.m. The custodian of Memorial Elementary School said two people in camouflage were taking pictures of students at recess.
  • 1:56 p.m. Harassing phone calls were reported on Eastern Avenue.
  • 6:18 p.m. A resident of Arboretum Way said someone loosened the lug nuts on his BMW.
Wed., May 14
  • 9:28 a.m. A sick raccoon was reported on Wildwood Street.
  • 11:43 a.m. Michael McEwen, 54, of 60 Mill St., Woburn, was charged with assault and battery. He was arrested after his girlfriend's mother told police he was slapping her.
  • 3:28 p.m. A woman on Arboretum Way called police, saying her 15-year-old son was driving her car with his friends.
  • 6:09 p.m. A caller said there was a drug deal going on on Laurel Lane.
