New Hotel Coming To 3rd Avenue

BURLINGTON, MA — A new hotel is being constructed on 3rd Avenue.

The board of selectmen voted at a recent meeting to grant a liquor license to the Archer Hotel, to be located at 18 3rd Ave., right off of Middlesex Turnpike.

The small hotel chain has a handful of locations including Austin, Seattle, Napa Valley, and New York City. It will feature 147 rooms and suites, an indoor pool, fitness center, function room and a restaurant with 120 seats.

Selectman Jim Tigges said General Manager Albert Kowalczykowski, who has a history of operating hotels in town, is one of the more proactive managers he's seen.

The license issued was the sixth of eight special all-alcohol licenses for the area.
