New Restaurant Set to Open in Burlington in April

Osteria Nino to bring Roman cuisine and highlight New England fare when it opens in 3rd Ave Burlington.

In just a few weeks Burlington will be home to a new restaurant whose offerings will combine Italian technique while showcasing farmers, fisherman and ranchers to tie in all New England has to offer when it comes to great fare.

“We’re looking forward to showcasing the amazing farmers, fisherman and ranchers that we’ve connected with in the past few months that make New England such an incredible place to be cooking (and eating!) right now,” says General Manager Sam Alberts.

Osteria Nino is expected to open its doors toward the end of April at 19 3rd Ave. in the 3rd Ave Burlington development.

What makes Osteria Nino different from other dining options is a two-pronged focus Alberts explains.

“First, the cuisine of Rome, where this project began, which is ruled by simplicity and focuses on making the most of delicious, humble ingredients,” he says. “Cacio e pepe is a great example, fresh egg pasta called tonnarelli tossed with pecorino romano cheese and black pepper. That’s it, three ingredients, but when balanced perfectly it’s a dish you can’t stop eating. The second part comes from closer to home. New England offers an incredible array of local, sustainable ingredients for our chefs to work with, shellfish from Ipswich, bass and blues from the Cape, chicken from Misty Knoll farm in Vermont, pork and beef from Maine and vegetables from farms up and down the Connecticut River Valley. And that’s really just scratching the surface.”

Once open, Osteria Nino will be serving lunch and dinner daily, and diners will be able to find some brunch items on Saturdays and Sundays, Alberts says. The restaurant will be open seven days a week from 11 a.m. to 1 a.m. with a reduced menu in the afternoon and late night.

Osteria Nino is now hiring, if you are interested in a position, visit the restaurant’s website and apply online.
