BURLINGTON, MA — Police are investigating a suspicious death, they announced Thursday. In a press release, Burlington Police Chief Michael Kent and Middlesex District Attorney Marian Ryan said that two bodies were found in a McCafferty Way home Wednesday. One of the two deaths, of an 18-year-old woman, is suspicious, they said.

The other dead person was a 20-year-old man, and a preliminary investigation suggested his death was not suspicious, the release said. Both bodies were found in the building's basement.

"Both individuals are known to each other and at this time there is no indication that there is an ongoing threat to public safety," the release continued.
