Police Logs: Woman Arrested for Lord & Taylor Shoplifting

Burlington police Department incidents from June 8 and 9.

Following are excerpts from the Burlington Police Department log. Note that this is a sampling of activity in the log, not a complete account. We report all arrests included in the daily police log. An arrest does not indicate a conviction.

Saturday, June 8

  • At 1:07 a.m. a Cambridge Street caller reported a neighbor dispute with a man who slammed his front door and went across street and began doing donuts in the parking lot. When the man returned to the building, the calling party spoke to him about the incident and the neighbor left the area.
  • At 3:03 p.m. a resident reported two hypodermic needles near a planter located at the entrance to CVS on Cambridge Street. Police were unable to locate the needles after checking the area.
  • At 9:46 p.m. several callers reported loud bangs or explosions near Mountain Road. Police checked the area but were unable to find any evidence of explosions.

  • At 2:34 a.m. a person was found running on the Middlesex Turnpike. The male stated that he was at a party. He was picked up by his mother.
  • At 1:51 p.m. loss prevention at Lord and Taylor reported a shoplifter. Silvania Maria Silva, 55, of 56 Gaston Street, Medford, was arrested and charged with shoplifting by concealing, shoplifting by concealing greater than $100, and trespassing.
