Police Logs: Resident Charged With Second Time OUI

Following are excerpts from the Burlington Police Department log. Note that this is a sampling of activity in the log, not a complete account. We report all arrests included in the daily police log. An arrest does not indicate a conviction.

Friday, June 21

At 8:31 a.m. a man reported that his Arboretum Way vehicle was broken into sometime last night. The caller told police that he left his doors unlocked last night and an older Sony camera valued at $49 was stolen.

At 10:27 a.m. police received a call from a woman who reported her hanging plants were stolen the previous night on Meadowvale Road.

At 4:17 p.m. a motor vehicle crash with unknown personal injury was reported on Winn Street. Aguinaldo L. Margaca, 62, of 2 Keans Road was arrested and charged with operating under the influence of liquor, second offense.

At 4:55 p.m. a resident on Arboretum Way reported that her Honda Civic was broken into sometime last night. The caller told police her car radio face plate valued at about $250 was stolen.

At 6:24 p.m. a resident walked into the station to report about $22,000 worth of women’s jewelry either missing or stolen.

At 6:30 p.m. police received a call that a white man was reported passed out behind the wheel of a car on Cambridge Street. Antonio Furtado, 31, of 28 Abington Road, Peabody, was arrested on an outstanding warrant for another agency.

Saturday, June 22

At 9:38 a.m. a Laurie Lane resident reported that her house was egged around 10 p.m. on Friday night.

At 8:52 p.m. an anonymous caller reported a woman carrying a child walking off the ramp from I-95 to Middlesex Turnpike.

Sunday, June 23

At 6:23 a.m. a man told officers he had his house egged the previous night on Donna Lane and confronted the child who did it.

At 2:51 p.m. a desk clerk from Homestead Studio Suites told officers that the padlocks on the coin operated washer and dryers were cut and the money was stolen sometime overnight.

Monday, June 24

At 4:36 p.m. a caller told dispatch that there was a motor vehicle with windows smashed in the parking lot of AMC Theaters. Both passenger side windows were smashed, though nothing appeared to be taken. Police were unable to contact the owner, but left a note to contact the station.
