Second Suspect Charged in Connection with October Home Invasion
Second suspect, from Haverhill, was arrested Monday and faces several charges in the Oct. 3 incident.

A second suspect has been charged in connection with an October home invasion, Burlington Police Chief Michael R. Kent announced Monday night. The first suspect, Connor John Tufts, 20, of Haverhill was arrested following the Oct. 3 home invasion.
Thomas J. Mahan, 20 of Haverhill was arrested at his home Monday by Burlington Police Detectives with the assistance of Haverhill Police.
Mahan is charged with four counts of home invasion, four counts of assault with intent to commit armed robbery and conspiracy. He was expected to be arraigned this afternoon in Woburn District Court. The case remains under investigation by Burlington Police.

In the early morning hours of Friday, Oct. 3 Burlington Police responded at 12:18 a.m. to an address on Church Lane for a reported fight. Arriving officers noticed two men in their 20’s holding down a third man. The first two men were identified as residents of the home, and the third man was identified as Connor John Tufts. The first two men, sons of the homeowner, were holding him down and identified him as one of three or four men who broke into their home with baseball bats in an apparent robbery attempt.
Tufts was charged with Home Invasion (four counts), Assault with a Dangerous Weapon (three counts), and Assault with a Dangerous Weapon on a Person Over 60.
