The following is a sampling of log entries provided by the Burlington Police Department. Where mentioned, an arrest does not indicate a conviction.
Thursday, Feb. 19
12:01 a.m. - Caller reports seeing people outside on his front lawn on Davida Road. They left heading toward Cambridge Street. Police Checked the area and were unable to locate.
10:01 a.m. - Highway Dept reports the shovelers are throwing snow onto street on Cambridge Street. Police spoke to the shovelers.

2:09 p.m. - Resident of Orchid Circle reports smoke in the basement. Fire Dept notified. No fire found.
8:21 p.m. - Lord & Taylor reports they have a fleeing shoplifter in custody and requested police assistance. John J. Farley, 38, of Nashua New Hampshire was arrested on a warrant, also charged with shoplifting by concealing merchandise.

Friday, Feb. 20
10:27 a.m. - Caller reports receiving a blocked telephone call informing him that he was in a motor vehicle accident and should send $800 via Western Union for damages. Police informed caller this is a scam.
11:10 a.m. - A man fell through a skylight while removing snow from the roof of Clark & Reid Movers, 1 Meadow Road. Man was taken to Lahey Clinic by Burlington Fire Department. O.S.H.A notified.
1 p.m. - Caller from Pearson Circle states a black pick up truck is in the area and caller is concerned due to roof clearing scams and neighbors not being home home. During the call, the vehicle left the area. Police checked the area but were unable to locate.
3:25 p.m. - Caller from Urban Outfitters, 75 Middlesex Turnpike, reports a past theft of more than $900.
7:43 p.m. - Woburn PD states they received a call from someone claiming to have been a the victim of a hit and run, possibly in Woburn. WPD states caller is waiting to speak with an officer in the Marshall Simonds Middle School parking lot on the Peach Orchard side. Caller was struck by a silver SUV.
8:44 p.m. - Caller from Dunkin’ Donuts, 28 Winn St. reports several males urinating against a bus in the lot. Parties were gone on police arrival.
8:46 p.m. - Caller reports her vehicle was stolen from the parking lot near CVS, 34 Cambridge St. while at the Outback restaurant.
9:25 p.m. - Person in station reporting possible gas odor at 709 Farms Drive. Fire Department notified and to handle.
9:59 p.m. - Motor vehicle stop, Winn Street at Rte. 128 north. Vehicle was towed for felonious use and arrest. Operator to be summonsed.
