BURLINGTON, MA -- The following is from Burlington Police Department. It is a sample of the types of calls the Burlington Police responded to between September 20 and 26. Wednesday, September 20

Tree in road, 4:23 am: DPW notified.

Animal complaint, 8:44 am: Caller reports a animal carcus in the roadway at Marshall Simonds Middle School

Criminal harassment arrest, 9:51 am: Robert E. Cochrane, 58, of Dedham.

Suspicious person at Burlington Mall, 1:51 pm: Male party reports threatning text messages from an unknown number. Advised to contact the police when further information is gathered; strong language barrier.

Canine unit assists Stoneham Police, 6:38 pm: Assisted Stoneham PD with search warrant service for narcotics. Residence and two vehicles searched.

Suspicious person, 8:31 pm: Party stated someone in a clown costume attempted to tie a balloon to the door at his residence but fled when seen.

Thursday, September 21

Disturbance, 2:41 am: Lahey Hospital security reports a belligerent female in the waiting area refusing to leave.

Disturbance, 6:45 am: Female party states her son's father is smashing her phone and refusing to leave the residence.Officers responded. Officers made contact with subject on Winn St. Officers handled same.

Theft at Cafe Escadrille, 1:54 pm: Party reports multiple credit cards stolen while dining.

Disruptive group gathered at High School, 2:31 pm: A group of Arlington and Burlington HS student were on the verge of fighting. Situation was stopped by BHS admin. staff prior to our arrival.

Suspected fake ID's at Buffalo Wild Wings, 6:50 pm: Waitress seeking assistance with out of state ID's. No indication that identification is fake.

Friday, September 22

Shoplifting at Victoria's Secret, 9:02 am: Approximately $3000 worth or bras stolen. Suspects described as two black females, 18-15 years old, one wearing black and one wearing a neon green jacket.

Animal complaint, 1:55 pm: Party reports a coyote struck by a vehicle is injured in the roadway.

Suspicious person, Burlington Mall, 4:32 pm: Mall security relayed to us of a possible credit card scam

Saturday, September 23

Fire at Chipotle, 1:22 am: Small brush fire near dumpster.

Well-being check, 12:27 pm: Boston University Police request a well being check on a male party. Party checks okay, no further police involvement needed at this time. Party and parents informed of solutions if help in needed in the future. Parents to help with the return of calling party's property that remains at the residence.

Shoplifting at Burlington Mall, 2:11 pm: Macy's loss prevention called and advised they have a juvenile detained for shoplifting.

Harassment complaint, 4:41 pm: Male party walked into the front lobby to report his sister has been harassing him at his home and work place.

Monday, September 25

Ambulance request, 7:04 am: Caller stated her 8 y/o child fell down the stairs. Caller feels she will be able to drive her child to Winchester Hospital on her own. Caller refused BFD assistance.

Forgery, 8:52 am: North Reading PD forwarded information regarding forged checks/larceny that occurred on 8/15/17. Arrested Robert Cavic, 57, of Cambridge.

Tuesday, September 26

Animal complaint, 7:17 am: Resident reports a skunk walking around in circles in her driveway.

Well-being check, 9:51 am: Caller reports a very confused female wandered into the business. Requesting a well-being check. Fire department handled same, subject transported to hospital.

Well-being check, 11:28 am: Party reports his girlfriend is made threats to hang herself. Female party driving a blue Ford Focus with unknown ME registration. 20-year-old female voluntarily transported by ambulance to Lahey for treatment.
