BURLINGTON, MA -- The following is from Burlington Police Department. It is a sample of the types of calls the Burlington Police responded to between September 27 and October 3. Wednesday, September 27
Stolen motor vehicle, 9:04 am: Party reports her 1995 Ford F250 was stolen.
Section 12 at Burlington High School, 9:24 am: Emergency restraint/hospitalization of student. Det. Fournier advised, patient transported to Lahey Hospital by fire department.

Assist public, 3:57 pm: Caller reports her 11-year-old is refusing to go to school. Referred to the school resource officer. Youth service officer reports going to meet with parent and child in morning.
Identity theft, 9:48 pm: Reported by telephone.

Thursday, September 28
Well-being check, 2:05 am: Caller reports that she gave a female a ride to the Shell on the Turnpike and she appeared slightly intoxicated & stated she was kicked out of her house. Caller just wanted us aware of the situation. Sierra #99 reports he made contact with the female at the Shell gas station and she checks ok.
Suspicious person, 5:09 am: Caller reports a man with a sword is doing martial arts movements at the entrance of Seven Springs. Male resident practicing ti chi with replica swords; same advised to discontinue in public area.
Animal complaint, 2:22 pm: Caller reports a large dog chasing vehicles on Middlesex Turnpike. The dog was returned to owner.
Theft at Speedway, Cambridge Street, 3:37 pm: Customer of Speedway gas station reports he set his wallet down on the counter and unidentified person stole it. Officer spoke with Speedway employee and will have manager review video. Victim advised to cancel his Visa and master card. Officer will contact manager on 9-29-17 when he returns to work for assistance.
Shoplifting arrest at J. Crew at Burlington Mall, 5:51 pm: Caller reports two past shoplifters in the store. Leyda C. Penna Torres, 28, of College Point, N.Y. and John J. Charris-Londono, 42, of College Point, N.Y. arrested on shoplfiting charges.
Friday, September 29
Malicious damage, 9:37 am: Caller states she believes her tires were slashed by coworkers overnight.
Past assault, 11:11 am: Walk-in reports a past assault by a co-worker while working on a construction site on 09/26/17
Disturbance, 1:52 pm: 25-year-old female with disabilities having a mental episode. No medical services requested at this time. Mother advised to contact the Police for immediate services or refer to her primary care for additional services.
Harassment, 3:25 pm: Mother reported to school principal that she found handwritten cards in her mailbox that contained harassing messages.
Assist Reading Police Department, 6:26 pm: Reading PD request our assistance in trying to locate a vehicle. Owner left work at Nordstrom's at 14:30 hrs. ill and never made it home. Phone was pinged earlier this afternoon at mall location. Phone has since been turned off. Unable to locate vehicle.
Shoplifting arrest at L.L. Bean, 7:31 pm: Elizabeth Johnson, 41, of Burlington, arrested on sholifting charges.
Overdose on Cambridge Street, 8:29 pm: Caller reports reports her 31-year-old brother has overdosed on heroin. Ambulance request.
Youth complaint, 9:39 pm: Caller reports large group of youths partying in the business parking lot. Youths fled area. Same who remained cleaned area and got rides home. No criminal charges to be filed.
Saturday, September 30
Well-being check, 9:37 pm: Maynard PD requesting assistance in locating a vehicle of a missing female party. Same was believed to be at the Burlington Mall earlier in the day. Mall security notified as well. Vehicle was located in the lot. Maynard PD looking for a well being check on the female party. Party was not at the last store, mall security was given the parties description.
Sunday, October 1
Assist Maynard Police Department, 1:46 am: Maynard Police request our assistance locating a missing person from their town. Her vehicle was located at the Burlington Mall earlier. Information and picture given to cars. Officers checked areas she is known to visit. Mall, Lahey, Cinema, Chili's, Border Cafe all checked. Friends are also out looking for her. She does not have a cell phone with her.
Suspicious person, 3:11 am: Caller says a male was in his house throwing up in his sink. Party left the residence towards Mill St. Person located on Mill Street. Caller does not want to file charges. Party picked up by his parents.
Missing-person follow-up, 10:24 am: State Police K9 on scene to check for tracking and check wood-line perimeter around mall. Vehicle is located between pole 52 & 54. Officer on scene reports vehicle was found unlocked with personal items found intact. Initial inspection indicates no foul play indicated. Mall and Executive park check by State PD K9 unable to locate. Mall security will continue to check the vehicle in the parking lot for the return of the owner. Checked with Lahey Clinic, female party in question has not been there anytime yesterday or today.
Missing person, 12:48 pm: Resident came into the station to report her adult daughter missing. She is a white female, 5' tall, 120 pounds with long brown hair and glasses. She was last seen leaving the house at approximately 09:00 wearing jeans, boots and a fur vest. Belmont Police K-9 en route. Party located walking on Meadowvale. After speaking with the subject it was determined there were no issues and she was transported back to her residence.
Shoplifting at Sears, 4:51 pm: arrested Kemal Sheriff, 24, of Brockton on shoplifting charges.
Assist public, 7:20 pm: Caller requests we check the center of town for her daughter who is walking around possibly barefoot. Both were involved in a case earlier today. No one matching the description was located. Mother called back to report daughter phoned home and is safe.
Monday, October 2
Suspicious person, 12:01 am: Caller said a female rang his doorbell then left the area once he answered. Caller believes it may be prostitution activity. Searched area, gone on arrival.
Past theft at Marriott, 6:45m: Manager called to report guests that checked out stole several items from the room. Same still on property. Bedding taken from the room, and damage to the shower door caused by guest. Management is going to attempt to bill the guest for repair, will notify if payment is not made.
Theft at Wegman's, 8:31 pm: Wegman's security reports person fled with unknown amount of groceries. Arrested Bryan J. Barker, 30, of Billerica on shoplifting charges.
Tuesday, October 3
Disturbance, 7:24 am: Caller reports a male hitting a female on the Middlesex Turnpike Extension heading toward the Lord Baron entrance. Both parties denied any physical altercation. Same sent on their way.
Shoplifting at Kohl's, 1:41 pm: Store reports past theft. Same fled in vehicle. Vehicle observed and stopped on Cambridge St. Items recovered with an approximate value of $42.00. Party to be summonsed to court. Linda Baker, 43, of Burlington, summoned on shoplifting charges.
