Title Defense Starts Sunday for Red Devils Hockey
The North Division 1 bracket was released in the middle of this week, and Burlington faces a difficult task in the opening round against Woburn.

With the regular season in the books for the Burlington High School boys hockey team, the Red Devils' title defense officially is set to begin.
Burlington, seeking a second straight Division 1 state crown, was awarded the No. 5 seed in the North Division 1 bracket, which was released earlier this week.
As a result, the Red Devils will open tournament play on Sunday at 4:30 p.m. against Woburn. Puck drops at 4:30 p.m. at Chelmsford Forum.

The winner of what should be a high octane tilt will take on either No. 1 Chelmsford or No. 9 Melrose in the semifinal game.
During the regular season, the Tanners and Red Devils played each other just about as closely as two teams can. On December 19, the Middlesex League foes skated to a 2-2 draw while on February 16 the Red Devils earned a 3-2 victory.

Burlington struggled out of the gates, with a 2-3-4 start in their opening nine games before turning it on late to improve its playoff positioning and allow itself the chance to make a run at a second straight crown.
