The Last Thursday Book Discussion Group – Thursday, June 27 from 7 – 8:30pm
The library's Thursday Evening Book Discussion Group will discuss Julia Glass’s Hillbilly Elegy. Hillbilly Elegy is a probing look at the struggles of America’s white working class through the author’s own story of growing up in a poor Rust Belt town. Vance describes the plight of angry white Americans in Appalachia and the Rust Belt as only an insider can. Copies of the book will be available at the front desk; free, and newcomers are always welcome! During the summer, the book group will take a brief hiatus and will begin
again starting September 26th .
