Town Administrator Paul Sagarino went on Burlington Community Access TV to discuss the year

BURLINGTON, MA — Burlington Town Administrator Paul Sagarino recently joined BNEWS Anchor Phil Gallagher in the Burlington Cable Access TV for a review of the town's 2019, and a look ahead at 2020. Sagarino and Gallagher covered a lot of ground, including personnel, town meetings and building projects. The full video is available from BCAT's Youtube channel.


Sagarino talked about the potential of making use of BCAT resources to spice up town meetings.

"We don't have to be so boring at town meeting. If we're gonna buy a new piece of equipment, we can get BCAT to go down and film the old equipment, so that we can visually demonstrate," Sagarino said. "It helps the attention span of members, too."

Gallagher brought up two recent departures from the town government, Building Inspector John Clancy and Fire Chief Stephen Yetman, to kind words from Sagarino. Yetman has been replaced with his deputy, Michael Patterson.

Sagarino and Gallagher also discussed the town's high amount of free cash, the town's water-sewer bills, and affordable housing, among other issues.
