Remember, July 3 is a federal holiday this year. Government offices are closed.

Saturday is Independence Day, and chances are you’ve got plans for the weekend. Make sure your propane tank is filled, you’ve got some sparklers and there are enough buns and beer.

Take a look at what’s open and closed on July 4 AND keep in mind that July 3 is a federal holiday this year. That means banks, post offices and Burlington town offices are closed on Friday, July 3. Burlington Public Library will also be closed Friday and Saturday, July 3-4.

  • Taverns, bars: Open.
  • Banks: Closed.
  • Libraries: Closed 
  • Stock market: Closed, July 3
  • Municipal, state, federal offices: Closed.
  • Mail: Post offices closed; express delivery only.
