When Mary Poppins arrives on April 1 at Burlington High, you will see these amazing talents!

Here they are! Meet the cast members of the highly anticipated Burlington High School production, "Mary Poppins!"

When Burlington High School performs Mary Poppins from April 1-10, some very special talent will hit the stage. In an effort to give you a peek into the performance, please . . . "Meet The Cast!" Miranda Russo, Gabby Goulette, Steven Gelberg and Patrick Creedon.

Miranda Russo, Burlington High School senior, leads the cast of Mary Poppins as everyone’s favorite nanny! Ever poised and lovely on stage (shall we say “Practically Perfect!”), Miranda possesses a voice that will melt your heart. An avid community theater member, she has appeared in productions on and off the BHS stage for over ten years, and she includes her most recent roles of Eulalie Mackecknie Shinn in The Music Man, Kate Keller in The Miracle Worker and Marcy/Sandrine in Almost, Maine, among her favorites. A member of the BHS Glee Club and Select Singers, and a varsity member of Idle Hands improv troupe, Miranda plans to pursue a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in musical theatre in the fall.

Steven Gelberg, Burlington High School senior, takes on the role of Bert, the tap-dancing chimney sweep and Jack-of-all-trades, in the spring production of Mary Poppins. Most recently seen in the BHS production of The Music Man in which he played the role of Harold Hill, Steven is quick to note that his favorite productions also include Hairspray and Grease. His commanding stage presence is a result of ten years of ballroom dancing, ballet and technique classes along with his position as drum major in the BHS Marching Band. Steven plans to pursue a math-related major at university this fall while still keeping his musical goals alive.

Gabby Goulette, senior, plays the role of Winifred Banks, mother of Jane and Michael. A veteran of the Burlington High School stage, she has performed in the spring musical for all four years and considers her favorite production to be “Hairspray,” where she played a “Dynamite!” Most recently she was in the cast of the BHS production, “The Miracle Worker.” While at BHS, Gabby had the opportunity to hop aboard the John Lennon Educational Tour Bus where she helped compose and was the featured vocalist of the BHS music video, “Break Free.” Gabby plans to study church ministry and music next year at Valley Forge University in PA.

Patrick Creedon, sophomore, plays the role of George Banks, father of Jane and Michael. Patrick has a considerable amount of experience onstage, including the role of Ewart Dunlop in last year’s production of “The Music Man.” Among Patrick’s favorite roles are Boyet in “Love’s Labour’s Lost,” Aladdin in “Aladdin,” Mr. Darling/Captain Hook in “Peter Pan,” Archie in “13, the Musical” and Charlie Bucket in “Willie Wonka.” In addition to performing on stage, Patrick enjoys singing, Djembe drumming and traveling.
