Who Has Pulled Papers to Run for Burlington Office?

And what are the open seats in Burlington?

The Town Clerk's Office in Town Hall will be open on Thursday, February 16, 2012 until 5 P.M. for residents to get information and take out papers for the Town Election on April 8th.

There are still a number of uncontested seats for Town Meeting Positions – each Precinct has 6 – 3-year seats to fill, plus because of resignations and moves there are some 1- and 2-year terms open in some Precincts.

Town wide seats still open with no candidates as of Feb: 10: Library Trustees (3 years) (2)

Precincts Plus: Precinct 5 TMM (2 years) (1); Precinct 6 TMM (1 year) (1)

Any register voter living in Burlington can take out papers to attempt to fill these seats. You will need to get signatures from registered voters by the Feb. 21 deadline.

The Town election is April 8th at the Burlington High School Gym.
