Woman Trapped in Elevator, Stolen Car Recovered, Tax Fraud Report and More

Wednesday, April 8

6:21 a.m. - Caller reports the MBTA bus on Cambridge Street has the “Emergency: Call Police” flashing. Officer reports accidental activation of alarm. Driver checks ok.

8:03 a.m. - Person came into station reporting someone filed taxes under his name.

12:58 p.m. - Person from Arboretum Way came into station and wanted suspicious activity to her vehicle logged. Vehicle looks like someone may have tried to gain access.

3:31 p.m. - Caller from Glenwood Street reports a dead deer in his yard. Animal Control Officer handled.

7:50 p.m. - Caller from 77 South Bedford St. reports she is stuck in the elevator between the fourth and fifth floor. Burlington Fire Department notified. The elevator company to respond with proper key. Female party released from the elevator without any medical issues.

Thursday, April 9

1:42 a.m. - Top of utility pole, 77 South Bedford St. is smoldering. Eversource and Fire Department advised.

6:36 a.m. - Wayside Commons property manager reports a motor vehicle has been in lot for a couple days. Car was discovered as a misplaced vehicle owner notified by dispatch. Vehicle not towed. Vehicle was originally reported as being stolen from Middlesex Commons. Vehicle has no damage and is locked. Two messages were left on owners voice mail that vehicle was being left in lot.

4:04 p.m. - Caller from Burlington Woods Drive reports a goose has been hit by a car. The animal has made it to the grassy area. It appears to have two broken legs but is mobile.

5:27 p.m. - Manager from Panera Bread, 34 Cambridge St., reports a counterfeit $100 bill.

6:29 p.m. - Kohl’s Department Store, 150 Lexington St., is requesting assistance with a female shoplifter, who stole approximately $300 worth of merchandise. Thirty-four-year-old Wilmington resident summonsed.

8:27 p.m. - Caller from Dunkin Donuts, 182 Cambridge St. reports a suspicious black male hanging around inside of Dunkin Donuts. He has spoken to the person before and does not want him hanging around. Individual was gone when police arrived.
