3-Alarm Cambridge Fire Under Control
A fire broke out overnight at an apartment building on Follen Street.

CAMBRIDGE, MA – Firefighters battled a three-alarm fire in a Cambridge apartment building overnight. The fire was first reported around 8:30 p.m. at 50 Follen St. and knocked down less than an hour later.
Residents of seven apartments were displaced. The fire department said trackless trolley wires posed a slight obstruction to firefighters, who sent hoses to the top floor and penthouse of the five-story building.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
