Check out these three must-check out activities from the Arts River festival to the Freedom Run and some music theatre, too. Here are the details:

Saturday, June 2

2018 Cambridge Arts River Festival

Time: 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Place: DCR Cambridge Parkway & Lechmere Canal Park

On June 2, 2018, Cambridge Arts will welcome 150,000 plus festival goers to the East Cambridge waterfront for a celebration of the arts along DCR Cambridge Parkway and in Lechmere Canal Park. The festival will feature staged and roving performances, hands-­on art-making and more than a hundred artists and food vendors with work for sale. Saturday, June 2

Sweeney Todd in Concert, a "Pop-Up" Musical Event

Time: 7:30 p.m.

Place: 11 Garden Street, Cambridge

Theater UnCorked - Boston's newest small theater company - announces its debut event: Sweeney Todd in Concert - A Pop-Up Musical presents its first "Pop-Up" Musical event,"Sweeney Todd in Concert," A one night only Benefit Performance.

The production will star Shana Dirik, who is behind the company, reprising her 2009 IRNE Award winning role as "Mrs. Lovett," Paul Farwell will be back in his role as "Judge Turpin," and Ben DiScipio will be in his IRNE Award winning role as "Sweeney Todd."

The company's debut is headed by an all-female production team including IRNE nominated Director Allison Choat, Music Director Gina Naggar, Stage Manager Nicky Carbone and Producing Artistic Director Shana Dirik. Presented in collaboration with IDP.


Sunday, June 3

CambridgeSide Hosts Freedom Run

Time: 9:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Place: CambridgeSide Galleria

A patriotic 5k through the heart of East Cambridge and Inman Square is this Sunday!

The race starts and finishes at CambridgeSide, followed by a roof deck party with Notch, Slumbrew & Bantam Cider. This is the 6th Annual Freedom Run, sponsored by the East Cambridge Business Association and hosted by CambridgeSide. This year’s race, the American Legion Riders will be joining.

Registration includes a race shirt plus a festive roof deck party with Notch, Slumbrew & Bantam Cider! FREE parking at CambridgeSide for all runners.
