9/11 Anniversary: Cambridge Victims Remembered

Patch remembers the more than 200 Massachusetts residents, including two from Cambridge, who died in the terror attacks 16 years ago.

CAMBRIDGE, MA – It's been 16 years since the September 11th attacks, the deadliest terror attack on U.S. soil. More than 200 people from Massachusetts lost their lives, including two Cambridge residents.

Maile Rachel Hale was the chief operating officer and vice president of Boston Investor Services at age 26. She was attending a conference at Windows on the World in the North Tower. A chemistry major in college, she had a passion for ballet and modern dancing.

John Charles Jenkins, 45, was operations manager for Charles River Associates. He was known among his friends for finding humor in almost any situation and famously collected cookware. Jenkins was aboard American Airlines Flight 11 on his way to the Charles River office in Los Angeles.
