Fire Breaks Out At 3-story Cambridge Building

The building was safely evacuated and no one was reported injured.

CAMBRIDGE, MA — No one was injured in the aftermath of a fire at a mixed-use, three-story building on Monday, according to the Cambridge Fire Department.

Crews responded to the scene at 803 Cambridge St. shortly before 7:30 p.m. Heavy smoke could be seen emanating from the structure and the building was quickly evacuated. Sprinklers operated to contain the fire in contents until arrival of the fire department, and the majority of the blaze was knocked down within one hour.

The Somerville Fire Department provided mutual aid in the form of on-scene assistance. The cause of the fire is now under investigation.
