Somerville Man Arrested Following 3-Month Cambridge Drug Investigation

Police spent months building a case against this person before moving in.

CAMBRIDGE, MA — The police department arrested a Somerville man on multiple drug charges following a three-month investigation into drug distribution in the city.

The 65-year-old Somerville resident was arrested on Thursday, Sept. 3, after Cambridge Police detectives concluded an investigation into drug distribution in North Cambridge and Central Square. Cambridge police worked alongside Somerville Police and Massachusetts State Police throughout the investigation.

According to Cambridge police, information from community members helped investigators make the arrest. The man has officially been charged with multiple drug distribution and possession offenses involving Class A, B, C, and E substances.

"CPD thanks our law enforcement partners and community members for their assistance as we continue working to address drug-related activity throughout Cambridge," the department said in a statement.
