Blue Bottle Coffee Bringing Cafes To Cambridge, Back Bay

Specialty roaster Blue Bottle Coffee's first Massachusetts cafe will open in Harvard Square this weekend.

CAMBRIDGE, MA – Speciality roaster Blue Bottle Coffee will open its first Massachusetts cafe in Cambridge this weekend, with two more locations slated to open in Boston later this year, according to Eater. The chain will arrive at 40 Bow St. in Harvard Square this Saturday, Feb. 3.

Another location is planned for the Prudential Center in Back Bay, and a third will be located somewhere in Boston proper, Eater reported.

Blue Bottle Coffee opened in 2005 in Oakland, California and quickly gained a cult following around the Bay Area. It's now expanded across California and has locations in New York, Washington, DC, Miami and Japan.

Coffee lovers can expect a beautiful cafe with handcrafted espresso, New Orleans Iced Coffee with chicory, pastries, liege-style waffles and a friendly staff. The Harvard Square location will eventually host coffee classes as well.

Blue Bottle Coffee will host a community day Friday, Feb. 2 to benefit Artists for Humanity.
