Challapalooza: Boston’s Jew-ish Music Festival returns on
June 21 · 11am–8pm · Cambridge, MA (exact location will be sent out along with tickets).

It’s a full day to wander between music, learning, food, and community — come for a few hours or stay all day.
🎶 Music all day
A mix of Boston’s most joyful and genre-bending Jew-ish music, including:
Levyosn (Yiddish song), The Ruth & Ben String Band (old-time), Somerville Symphony Orkestar (Balkan/global), Dor Herskovits Trio (jazz), the Klezmer Conservatory Band and more.
📚 Learning you can drop into anytime
Alongside the music, we’re hosting a parallel beit midrash tent with short, welcoming classes — no background needed. A few highlights:
• Jewish weaving practices
• Yiddish prayers for your challah to come out unburnt
• Yoga
• Early halachic responsa on synagogue sheet music
• Talmud for teens (and the teen-curious)
🌮 Food + treats
Kosher food trucks (including The Hummus Shop), ice cream and locally made Wild Child Chocolate.
We will also have a challah competition, so bring your best challah, fun flavors encouraged (vegetarian please). Best challah wins a prize!
🎨 Artists + community
Jew-ish artists and makers (ceramics, stained glass, herbal teas, local chocolate, and more!), along with local Jewish orgs and synagogues.
