Rising star Tyreek McDole takes the stage at Regattabar on June 26 ✨ The 24-year-old Haitian-American vocalist from Florida has been making waves in New York’s jazz scene, earning 1st Place at the Sarah Vaughan International Jazz Vocal Competition in 2023—joining past winners like Samara Joy and Jazzmeia Horn—and becoming only the second male winner in the competition’s 12-year history. A graduate of the Oberlin Conservatory of Music, McDole has shared the stage with greats including Theo Croker and NEA Jazz Master Gary Bartz. Fresh off the June 6, 2025 release of his Artwork Records debut, Open Up Your Senses, McDole brings his rich Caribbean roots and magnetic presence to Cambridge for one unforgettable night.

When you sign up for one of our dumpling parties, we want you to have as much fun as possible while learning a new skill.
How to roll and fold dumplings How to properly stuff dumplings with different fillings. How to make different dumpling shapes. How to cook dumplings.
You don’t have to be a cooking expert to enjoy one of our events. We welcome people of all skill levels and interests to take part in our dumpling parties. Since we are focusing on fun and not precision and accuracy, this is the perfect, relaxed environment for friends, family, and loved ones.

The Improbable Beasts bass clarinet ensemble, with special guests Meryl Summers(bassoon) and Solon Gordon (piano) present “We Rise,” a program of music about coming together in the midst of adversity, and rising up in community.
Beasts director Jonathan Russell will be joined by pianist Solon Gordon and bassoonist Meryl Summers in his compositional response to the dislocations and disruptions of our current moment called “We Reflect, We Grieve, We Rise.” 
After this, the Beasts present two more of Russell’s original compositions and close with a rousing rendition of the African American Spiritual and protest song “Down by the Riverside.” 
Come join the Beasts for a memorable afternoon of moving and rousing music.
