22-Year-Old Cambridge Man Dead In Woburn Shooting: DA

Mussie Nirayo, of Cambridge, died at a Woburn home early Monday morning, according to the Middlesex District Attorney's Office.

CAMBRIDGE, MA — A 22-year-old Cambridge man is dead following a shooting in Woburn in the early hours of Monday morning, the Middlesex District Attorney's Office confirmed in a news release Monday evening.

The shooting occurred around 3:40 a.m. at a home on Washington Street, where police found two men with apparent gunshot wounds, the D.A. said.

The two men were identified as Tyler Olivier, 26, of Woburn, who was taken to the hospital, and Mussie Nirayo, 22, of Cambridge, who died at the scene, the D.A. said.

The motive is currently unknown and investigators don't yet know if the two men knew each other, the office wrote.

Olivier has been arrested and charged with possession of a firearm and assault and battery with a dangerous weapon and is expected to be arraigned Tuesday in Woburn District Court, according to the office.
