This Cambridge Pizzeria Is Ranked Among America’s 50 Best
Three Italian spots in the Boston area made the cut as some of the nation's best.
CAMBRIDGE, MA — There are plenty of places to grab a slice, but people who truly appreciate pizza may want to check out this Cambridge spot that recently earned some national bragging rights.
One of the Massachusetts pizzerias named among the best in the United States in the 50 Top Pizza USA 2026 ranking is Si Cara at 425 Massachusetts Ave., Cambridge, which is in the 47th spot on this year's list. The pizza bar is known for its Canotto-style pie, which features a puffy crust. Chef Michael Lombardi opened the spot in 2022 in dedication to his grandmother. This January, a second Si Cara spot opened in South Boston.“This place is decidedly our favorite pizza in Cambridge. The vibe is cozy, and the music is a perfect volume vibe. The meatballs have a lovely smoked mozzarella and are tender as can be,” one customer wrote in a recent Google review. “If you’re a crust lover, this pizza is for you, fluffy, tangy, and the perfect chew. What really stands out to me is the flavor combinations.”
The list ranked Una Pizza Napoletana in New York City as the No. 1 pizzeria in the country. Pizzeria Sei in Los Angeles and Tony’s Pizza Napoletana in San Francisco tied at No. 2, followed by Razza in Jersey City, New Jersey, at No. 3 and Truly Pizza in Dana Point, California, at No. 4.

The 50 Top Pizza guides are based on the reports of anonymous inspectors who evaluate the best pizza restaurants in the U.S. and around the world.
Rankings are based on the pizzeria as a whole — not just the pizza or the chef. Inspectors consider the quality and digestibility of the pizza, service, cleanliness, atmosphere, how the wait is handled, and the wine, beer, and beverage program.
